Compost facility sold to Krantz
The Amherst Town Board voted, 5-1, to sell its public compost facility on New Road to Clarencebased C. J. Krantz Topsoil Inc. Supervisor Barry Weinstein called the sale “a financial win for the town,” absolving the town of a roughly $300,000 annual expense.
